You are invited to join us for dinner on Wednesday, December 10 starting at 7:30 p.m. at our home in Fremont Vineyard hills. Fremont City Manager Jan Perkins, Deputy City Manager Dave Millican, and Neighborhood Resource Manager Claudia Albano will meet to talk with us about the health of our Fremont community including the current economic climate and the challenges ahead. It will prove to be an interesting, and enlightening evening. This will also kick-off our Unity Dinner 2004 (unity in Diversity), third annual event of Indo-American Community Federation, to be held on Friday, January 23, 2004 in Fremont Marriott.

Desi voices hail George Floyd protests, Rahul Dubey : 2020

RITU JHA- Prominent Indian-American voices have hailed Washington, DC-based Rahul Dubey, who gave shelter to over 70 protesters, fed them and protected them from being arrested. The protesters were demonstrating against the death of 46-year-old George Floyd, an African-American man, who died on May 25 after white police officer pinned him down with a knee on his neck in Minneapolis. The incident has brought America to a crossroad and sparked protests, looting and more police violence.

Taking the lead in organizing the briefing was the Indo-American Community Federation (IACF), founded by longtime Kashmiri Pandit activist Jeevan Zutshi, who got Congresswoman Anna Eshoo (D.-Calif.) to co-host the event. Partnering with the IACF, were the Kashmiri Overseas Association (KOA) and U.S.-India Political Action Committee (USINPAC), led by their chairpersons, Dr. Shakun Malik and Sanjay Puri.

I ACF-US celebrated it’s annual Unity in Diversity dinner 2012 at the Fremont Marriott with a gathering of over 400 people. The Topic for this year’s Unity Dinner 2012 was “Creating Jobs in California.” The program started with Fremont Mayor Gus Morrison opening the event and Yogi Chugh from the Fremont Planning Commission paying homage
