Fremont, Ca. —– Congressman Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, was welcomed by a large contingent of supporters at a luncheon at the home of Usha and Jeevan Zutshi in Fremont hills June 11. The India House of Worship honored six women and two women’s groups, describing them as ‘unsung heroes ‘ at its 30th anniversary of working for the community in metropolitan Washington DC. The fifth annual Unity Dinner — an event that celebrates the city of Fremont’s diversity — is being hosted March 24 at the Newark-Fremont Hilton, sponsored by the Indo-American Community Federation . Fremont community activist Jeevan Zutshi is the organizer. He moved to the United States from Kashmir 33 years ago and hosts the dinner as a way to bring people of different faiths and cultures together. This year, Zutshi’s theme of “unity” will coincide with Fremont’s 50th anniversary. Zutshi has lined up entertainers representing various countries, including Italy, China, Mexico and India .This year’s keynote speaker is U.S. Rep. Mike Honda, D-Campbell
