So we are celebrating the togetherness that this diverse community has demonstrated.” On Friday, Zutshi and his organization, the Indo-American Community Federation, are honoring the city of Fremont for that accomplishment. Unity Dinner 2002 is an evening of gourmet food, music and conversation celebrating the “tolerance, mutual respect and understanding” that is shown in Fremont among all communities, Zutshi said.

The happenings of September 11 are incomprehensible and yet so humongous and inhuman. They are a challenge to the bare existence of human beings and there is no doubt left in our minds that humanity itself has been challenged by these cruel, barbarous and evil forces across the globe. India has been dealing with this problem for over two decades and as an involved Indian-American I understand not only terrorism but also the psyche of the terrorist. In terms of U.S. State Department statistics, the largest terrorist operation in the world is being conducted in India, and sponsored by its neighbors Pakistan and Afghanistan. Evidence continues to mount that these crimes against humanity were led by Osama bin Laden
